What's New In Basketball: 2008 Olympic stars Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers and Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets are the No. 1 and 2 scorers in the National Basketball Association thus far this season, and they'll meet in a Western Conference showdown Friday night at Denver. The 9:30 p.m. ET game will be televised by ESPN. Bryant is averaging 33.6 points per game; Anthony, 31.4. After two weeks of EuroLeague play, the three top scorers are all former gold medalists for the USA women's team. Diana Taurasi scored 27 points in her team's one game, DeLisha Milton-Jones was averaging 24 points per game, and Crystal Langhorne was averaging 23.5 ppg.
